Let Me Explain

Sorry about my first post, I was in a hurry!

I should explain a bit. I live in Thickleaf, creatively named for the dominating trait of our local vegetation: thick leaves. Thickleaf is a very small town, not sure how many citizens. There's no great way of doing an accurate census since so many of our citizens live under huge thick leaves and rarely ever come out. Besides, no one really cares enough to put together any effort to reach out to all these folk.

Thickleaf rests in the very out-outskirts of Targan, one of the few great cities in our world: the land of Gama. Gama is a large world of incalculable variety, and all I've seen of it is Thickleaf :-/ Don't get me wrong, I love our quiant and wildly leafy town, and , though my exploits here have been fairly ordinary, I feel that change is coming soon, and my adventures are about to begin!

Anyway, as I mentioned, my name is Dala (Gedala really, but only old people call me that!) I am 43 months old (between 17 and 18 years in your terms) and next month, I will be coming-of-age (an arcane term, I know) but more on that later.

Since the availability of computers has recently come to Thickleaf (and now the hype has died down so I can get access to the computers,) I have decided to document the days and weeks leading up to my coming-of-age, mostly explaining my world here and what all this is about. Then, I will divulge the secrets of my adventures, which are soon to begin, though I won't get into that just yet.

Back soon,
Dala

Shaylee Memorial Computer Port

Hello there!

My name is Gedala, though I prefer simply "Dala."

I'm sorry this is going to be a short first post. I'm at the new Shaylee Memorial Computer Port here in Thickleaf. This is the first time anyone in Thickleaf has gotten to use computers other than at week school in Targan.

I only have a moment though, all sorts of folk are here lined up. Half the town probably! Though that's not saying much. And it looks like the curiosity of some heavyleaf dwellers has been peaked, enough so to get them here, anyway!

Back soon,
Dala
